【摘要】:Concepts:Thisguidesummarizesthebasicequipment,fieldprocedures,andinterpretationmethodsusedfordetecting,delineating,ormappingshallowsubsurfacefeaturesandrelativechangesinlayergeometryorstratigraphyusingtheseismic-reflectionmethod.Commonapplicationsofthemethodincludemappingthetopofbedrock,delineatingbedorlayergeometries,identifyingchangesinsubsurfacematerialproperties,detectingvoidsorfracturezones,mappingfaults,definingthetopofthewatertable,mappingconfininglayers,andestimatingofelastic-wavevelocityinsubsurfacematerials.PersonnelrequirementsareasdiscussedinPracticeD3740.Subsurfacemeasurementsusingtheseismic-reflectionmethodrequireaseismicsource,multipleseismicsensors,multi-channelseismograph,andappropriateconnections(radioorhardwire)betweeneach(Fig.1,alsoshowingoptionalroll-alongswitch).Seismicwavesgeneratedbyacontrolledseismicenergysourcepropagateintheformofmechanicalenergy(particlemotion)fromthesourcethroughthegroundorairtoseismicsensorswheretheparticle(ground)motionisconvertedtoelectricalvoltageandtransmittedtotheseismograph.Seismicenergytravelsawayfromthesourceboththroughthegroundandair.Intheground,theenergytravelsasanelasticwave,withcompressionalwaves(Eq1)andshearwaves(Eq2)movingawayfromthesourceinahemisphericalpattern,andsurfacewavespropagatingawayinacircularpatternonthegroundsurface.1.1PurposeandApplication:1.1.1Thisguidesummarizesthetechnique,equipment,fieldprocedures,dataprocessing,andinterpretationmethodsfortheassessmentofshallowsubsurfaceconditionsusingtheseismic-reflectionmethod.1.1.2Seismicreflectionmeasurementsasdescribedinthisguideareapplicableinmappingshallowsubsurfaceconditionsforvarioususesincludinggeologic(1),geotechnical,hydrogeologic(2),andenvironmental(3).Theseismic-reflectionmethodisusedtomap,detect,anddelineategeologicconditionsincludingthebedrocksurface,confininglayers(aquitards),faults,lithologicstratigraphy,voids,watertable,fracturesystems,andlayergeometry(folds).Theprimaryapplicationoftheseismic-reflectionmethodisthemappingoflateralcontinuityoflithologicunitsand,ingeneral,detectionofchangeinacousticpropertiesinthesubsurface.
