【摘要】:1.1Thesetestmethodspertaintothesampling/analysisofrespirablesuspendedparticles(RSP)andtheestimationoftheRSPfractionattributabletoenvironmentaltobaccosmoke(ETS).ThesetestmethodsarebasedoncollectionoftotalRSPonamembranefilter,extractingthecollectedmaterialinmethanol,andmeasuringtotalultravioletabsorbanceorfluorescence,orboth,ofthisextract.Thecorrespondingmethodsofestimationaretermedultravioletparticulatematter(UVPM)andfluorescentparticulatematter(FPM),respectively.1.2Thesetestmethodsarecompatiblewith,butdonotrequirethedeterminationofsolanesol,whichisalsousedtoestimatethecontributionofETStoRSP(seeTestMethodD6271).1.3Thesamplingcomponentsconsistofapreweighed,1.0-mporesizepolytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE)membranefilterinafiltercassetteconnectedontheinletendtoaparticlesizeseparatingdeviceand,ontheoutletend,toasamplingpump.Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletopersonalandareasampling.1.4Thesetestmethodsarelimitedinsampledurationonlybythecapacityofthemembranefilter(about2000g).Thesetestmethodshavebeenevaluateduptoa24-hsampledurationwithaminimumsampledurationofatleast1h.1.5Limitsofdetection(LOD)andquantitation(LOQ)fortheUVPMtestmethodatasamplingrateof2L/minare,respectively,2.5g/m3and8.3g/m3fora1-hsampledurationand0.3g/m3and1.0g/m3foran8-hsampleduration.TheLODandLOQfortheFPMtestmethodatasamplingrateof2L/minare,respectively,1.4g/m3and4.7g/m3fora1-hsampledurationand0.2g/m3and0.6g/m3foran8-hsampleduration.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Specificprecautionaryinformationisgivenin13.6.
